Video Troubleshooting Tips

Photobucket is a great place to keep your videos safe! Let's go over the basics!

Supported file types, video size and length limits:

Supported file types: 3g2, 3gp, 3gp2, 3gpp, avi, divx, flv, gif, mov, mp4, mpeg4, mpg4, mpeg, mpg, m4v, wmv

All video files are converted to .mp4 format when you upload them.

Video limits: The maximum file-size for videos on Photobucket is 500 MB (when uploaded on the mobile app. 150 MB when uploaded on a web browser) , and the maximum length 10 minutes or less.

DMCA Filter: If you purchased or obtained a video by other means, it may be protected by Digital Rights/Restrictions Management (DRM) and cannot be uploaded to Photobucket. This usually affects music videos. If your video (and accompanying audio) is not copyrighted, and it meets the size limits, you can upload it.

If your upload fails, please make sure that it meets these requirements and then try again.

Is your video not playing?

Make sure you have Adobe Flash installed and that it's updated: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Add-ons and extensions can also affect your browsing experience. Most add-ons require that you give your permission before they are installed, however, some may be installed automatically: You may want to disable them to see if that solves the problem: Could add-ons be affecting my browsing experience?
