One of the beneficial features a Photobucket subscription provides is Password-Protected Albums. This feature allows you to share your private albums selectively by providing you with an option to create unique passwords when sharing them.
Note: When creating a password for an album, the password will only apply to the album you are currently viewing. You will need to create separate passwords for the sub-albums under that album.
There are three ways to access the Details page of your album to add a password.
Adding a password when viewing the album
- Select the album you want to add a password to
- Click the Privacy icon in the upper-left corner next to the album title and select Password Protected.
- Enter a password, then click Save
You can also add a password while viewing the album by clicking the i icon in the upper-right corner. This will bring up the album's Details page.
Adding a Password from My Albums Page
- Click My Albums on the left side of the page
- Find the album you want to add a password to
- Click on the checkmark on the top-left of the album, then click the i icon in the toolbar.
- Click on Password, then click CREATE PASSWORD
- Enter a title for your password, then create a password for the album.
- Click Save.
You may have to refresh the page if you are not seeing the new password you just created.
Adding a Password from the Albums list
- On the left-hand side of the page, you will see your album list
- Locate the album you want to set to password protected, then click on the three dots to the right of the album name
- Select Album Details, then click Password
- Click CREATE PASSWORD
- Enter a title for your password, then create a password for the album
- Click Save.
You may have to refresh the page if you are not seeing the new password you just created.
Managing your Album's Passwords
To manage your album password
- Open the album and click the i icon at the upper-right of the page
- Under Passwords, click the Edit icon to edit your password.
You can not delete a password. If you no longer want the album to be password protected, you can always change the album privacy settings to Private.
Note: There is no longer an option to create multiple passwords for a password-protected album.
