One of the beneficial features a Photobucket subscription provides is Password-Protected Albums. This feature allows you to share your private albums selectively by providing you with an option to create unique passwords for each group or individual you're sharing the album with and manage their access.
There are 3 ways to access the Details page of your album to add a password.
Note: When creating a password for an album, the password will only apply to the album you are currently viewing. You will need to create separate passwords for the sub-albums under that album.
Adding a password when viewing the album
- Select the album you want to update your password on
- Click the Privacy icon in the upper-left corner next to the album title and select Password Protected.
- Enter a password, then click Save
You can also add a password while viewing the album by clicking the i icon in the upper-right corner. This will bring up the album's Details page.
Adding a Password from My Albums Page

- On the left-hand side of the page, you will see your album list
- Locate the album you want to set to password protected then click on the three dots to the right of the album name
- Select Album Details then click Password
- Click CREATE PASSWORD
- Enter a title for your password then create a password for the album
- You can create multiple passwords if you want to share the album with different groups of people
- Click Save.
You may have to refresh the page if you are not seeing the new password you just created.
Managing your Album's Passwords
You can create multiple passwords to keep track of who you share your album with. Once you're done sharing the album, you can easily delete the passwords you set for that particular person or group, and this will end their access to the album.
To manage your album password
- Open the album and click the i icon at the upper-right of the page
- Under Passwords, click the Edit icon to edit your password or the Trash icon to delete it.
