Rotating: Use the left and right rotating icons (below your image, right side) to turn your image 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise.
Fine-Tuning Rotation: For more precise adjustments, use the rotation slider below your image. This lets you rotate in degree intervals (up to 45 degrees).
Crop
Cropping is perfect for highlighting a specific area or adjusting the size for social media.
To crop your photos, click the Transform icon. This icon is the second one on the right side of the editor, under the library icon.
There are several ways to crop your images:
- Click and drag: Just click on the corner of the area you want to keep and drag it inwards to select the portion you want. You can also use the small arrows in the corners of the image to adjust the selection.
- Use a preset: We also have preset cropping options specifically for popular social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. These will automatically adjust the size of your image for a perfect fit.
- Edit the pixels: Want to crop your image to a specific size in pixels? No problem! Under the Crop Size section, you'll see numbers for width (W) and height (H). Just click on those numbers and enter the exact pixel dimensions you want for your final image.
The final size will be displayed in the center, with darker areas representing what will be cropped out.
Filters
Want to add a little extra something special to your photos? That's where filters come in! Photobucket's Image Editor has a collection of filters you can use to change the look and feel of your photo.
To add filters to your photos, click on the Filters icon. This is the third icon on the right side of your editor.
Each category groups related filters together (Duotone, Black & White, Vintage, etc.) for easy browsing. Click on a category to see all the filter options within that group.
Like to filter a lot (or a little)? The Filter Intensity bar right above the categories lets you control how strongly the effect is applied. Slide it to the right for a more dramatic change, or keep it to the left for a subtler touch.
Adjust
Want to adjust your images somehow? We have you covered!
- Brightness: Lighten or darken your entire image.
- Contrast: Boost the difference between light and dark areas for a more dramatic look, or reduce contrast for a softer effect.
- Saturation: Make the colors more vivid or mute them down for a vintage feel.
- Gamma: Fine-tune the overall brightness for a balanced look, especially in areas that appear too bright or too dark.
- Clarity: Sharpen the image for crisper details, while also adjusting the color vibrancy for a more impactful look.
- Shadows: Adjust the details and visibility in the darker areas of your image.
- Highlights: Brighten specific areas to draw attention or reduce highlights for a more balanced look.
- Exposure: Control the overall amount of light captured in the image. This can be helpful for correcting photos that are too bright or too dark.
- Blacks & Whites: Fine-tune the balance of black and white tones independently, giving you more control over the overall image contrast.
- Temperature: Adjust the color cast of your image. A lower temperature adds a cool, blueish tint, while a higher temperature adds a warm, yellowish tint.
- Sharpness: Sharpen the edges in your photo for a crisper, more defined look. This is especially useful for counteracting blurriness.
Adjust sharpness, colors, and saturation by simply sliding the slider!
