Uploading your photos and videos with the Mobile App is a simple process that provides an easy way to store your memories safely
Uploading photos and videos through the app is currently limited to:
- 500MB on iOS
- 200MB on Android
For larger uploads, use a desktop or mobile browser. For more information, see our desktop and mobile guide.
Before you can upload, please make sure your permissions are set to allow access for the app to your media.
For Android: You must allow permissions for both Files and Media. You can check your app permissions by going to Settings > Apps > App Info > Photobucket. Make sure that full access is granted.
For iOS: You will need to allow access to All Photos. You can check your app permissions by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Photobucket. Make sure the photo library access is set to full access.
To upload your photos:
- Tap the + icon on the bottom center of the app page to start uploading.
- A pop-up will appear, giving you three options: Upload from Camera, Gallery, and Create a Sub-Album

Upload from Camera allows you to take a new photo directly from your device's camera and upload it directly to your account.

Upload from Gallery allows you to upload images from your own photo library. When you select this option, it will display all the photo albums available on your device, making it convenient for you to choose the images you wish to upload.

Create a Sub-Album will allow you to create a new sub-album
- A pop-up will appear, prompting you to name your new sub-album. Simply enter the desired name and tap Create. Your new sub-album will then be created and will appear at the bottom of the sub-albums list.
- You can then tap on the + Icon at the bottom of your screen to upload directly into this newly created album.

Upload from Camera allows you to take a new photo directly from your device's camera and upload it directly to your account.
If you'd like to upload to a specific sub-album, simply tap on the Subalbums tab and then select the one you wish to upload images to.
Once the upload has been completed, you can see the images on your account. You may need to refresh the app by pulling down the screen to see the newly uploaded content.
Note: Please leave the Photobucket app loaded during your upload process and do not switch to another application. All uploads will fail if the Photobucket App is put into the background.
The latest version of the iOS mobile app is 6.9.15
The latest version of the Android mobile app is 6.9.18
The minimum OS requirement is: Android 11 & iOS 13
