Welcome to Photobucket! Our Free Trial gives you 21 days to determine your storage and usage needs. The free trial includes unlimited image uploads, access to our best-in-class image editor, and an ad-free experience. The free trial does not allow for public hosting on external websites.
The Free Trial is available for all new Photobucket members. When you’re ready to get started with a Photobucket Free trial, it is easy as 1-2-3!
1. Head over to app.photobucket.com/explore, scroll down below the paid plan information, and click the FREE TRIAL link. It looks like this:
2. Once you’ve clicked that link, enter your information into the “Create an account” form and click Continue.
3. After you have created your account, you will receive an email confirmation from firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Confirm your email to activate your account.”
Please be sure to check spam/junk folders if you are not seeing the confirmation, as some domains automatically sort this type of email. For a few, it may be necessary to add email@example.com to your Safe Sender list to receive this email.
When you open the confirmation email, you will find a button to click to verify your email. This is a required step for setting up a new Photobucket account. Please click this button in your email.
The Verify Email button will take you to your Photobucket account to get started, and also triggers an email to you with the subject line “Your Photobucket account is activated.” You’re all set up!
After You've Created Your Account:
Once you are logged in to your account, this line of buttons will appear to the upper right of your screen.
Here’s what each of those do:
Let’s take a tour! - This button takes you on a quick review of the different sections on your My Bucket page, with descriptions of what to find in each location, including tools and resources.
My Bucket - Takes you to My Bucket, your Photobucket account home page.
Upload - This will gets you started to upload images.
Account Icon - Provides a menu including three options: My Bucket, Settings, and Logout.
Once you have clicked Let’s take a tour!, the button will no longer appear in your account. Our Resource Center, found by clicking the circled question mark to the lower left of the screen, contains similar information and more. If you have a question and don’t see the answer in our available articles, feel free to reach out to our Support team!
You will find all of your account information in Settings, organized into four tabs. You can find more information on the various features found within here.
Plan & Billing - This is where you can locate your Free Trial expiration date, along with the available plan features. For the Free Trial, you will see how much you have used of the Free Trial Unlimited Storage and Images, and a message to upgrade to include hosting bandwidth in your plan.
Profile - Entering information into your Profile is recommended, but not required, and is used for account recovery purposes if needed.
Security - Whenever you’d like to update your account password, you may find that option in this tab.
Albums - Here you will find your linking settings.
When the Free Trial Expires:
After the Free Trial expires, you’ll have two options. You can either choose to purchase a subscription plan that suits your usage, or allow your account to change to a free account.
The Plan & Billing information in Settings is great for helping to determine which option to choose! You’ll be able to compare your recorded usage against the available plans to make a choice that fits your needs. Click Change plan, select the best plan for you, and follow the prompts through payment and confirmation.
If you find that you haven’t gone over 250 images or 2.5Gb in storage, a free account may suit you best. If you choose not to upgrade to a paid plan, your account will be updated to a free account after the 21-day trial period ends.
