Hosting and sharing sound similar, but are different in some important ways!
What is Hosting?
- Using a Hosting link makes your images viewable across websites and forums that support the feature, such as Amazon or eBay, without requiring viewers to access Photobucket.
- These links enable you to present your images on websites or forums outside of Photobucket in a safe way that does not share details about your account or additional content, while making them viewable to everyone who visits the website where the image is hosted.
Hosting is only available with Hosting, Legacy Premium & and Plus plans.

What is Sharing?
- Using a Sharing link makes your images viewable only to those who have the link, rather than being publicly displayed on a website or forum.
- Sharing links can be private, ensuring only those with the password can view the images.
Sharing is available with Group Buckets, Hosting, Legacy Premium & and Plus plans.
So what is the difference?
The key difference between these two is:
-
Hosting allows you to embed photos on a site so they can be publicly viewed at all times.
- Sharing allows you more control over who can view your images and for how long.
