Hosting and Sharing sound similar, but they work differently and aren't available on the same plans.
What is Hosting?
- Using a Hosting link makes your images viewable on other websites and forums that support the feature, like Amazon or eBay, without requiring viewers to visit Groupsy by Photobucket.
- These links let you display your images outside of Groupsy safely. They don't share any account details or other content, and they're visible to anyone who visits the site where the image is hosted.
Hosting is for photos only and doesn't currently support videos. It's available on any paid plan.
What is Sharing?
- Using a Sharing link makes your photos and videos viewable only to people who have the link, instead of publicly displaying them on a website or forum.
- Sharing links can be password-protected and set to expire, so only people with the password can view the images.
Sharing is available on all plans, including Free.

So what's the difference?
- Hosting lets you embed photos on a site so they're publicly viewable at all times.
- Sharing gives you more control over who can view your images and for how long.
