Upload limits & Supported file types
Uploads through the app
Uploads through the app are currently capped at 1GB on both iOS and Android.
We recommend using WiFi for large uploads. For anything bigger than 1GB, use a desktop or mobile browser instead. See our guides for desktop and mobile browser uploads.
Uploads through a browser
- Photos: up to 5GB
- Videos: up to 5GB
Supported File Types
Make sure your file matches one of these types before uploading:
- Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .heic, .heif
- Videos: .avi, asf, mp4, mov, mpg, mpeg, dvd, vob, mkv, swf, 3gp, 3gp2, webm
Photobucket uses HTML5, so video playback only works for mp4, mov, and webm files.
