A Group is a private space where you and the people you invite can share photos and videos together, all in one place.
Your personal Library is yours and stays private. Groups are a separate space where you share photos and videos with people you choose to invite.
A Group gives you:
- One shared space for everyone's photos, instead of a group chat where things get buried
- Anyone in the Group can upload their own photos, so you already have a copy of every shot, not just the ones you took yourself
- Albums to keep things organized, by trip, event, or however makes sense to you
- Full quality, zero compression
- React and comment on photos and videos as they're added
- Manage members and roles: assign roles like Admin, Contributor, or Viewer to control what others can do. See Group roles & permissions
- Find people in your photos: FaceFinder automatically finds you and others in photos across your Groups. Learn more
Use Groups for:
- Family photo sharing
- Weddings or events
- Sports teams, classrooms, clubs, or almost any event you want to remember together
Groups are available on every plan. Free plans can create up to 3 Groups, each with a 50-image limit. Paid plans, including older legacy plans, have no limit on the number of Groups you can create. Anyone can join unlimited Groups regardless of plan.
FAQ
Is this the same as Group Buckets? Yes. Group Buckets is now called Groups. We've added the ability to react and comment, along with FaceFinder.
Is this different from just sharing a link to my photos? Yes. A shared link lets people view your photos. A Group lets invited people view, add their own, and comment, more like a shared album than a one-way link. Only invited people can join a Group, though members can still create a sharing link for individual photos or videos and send them to someone outside the Group.
