Trying to track down old Myspace photos? A Myspace account and a Photobucket account are not the same thing. Myspace never shared logins with Photobucket, so having a Myspace profile doesn't mean you have a Photobucket account. You'd only have one if you signed up for it yourself, usually to store or display photos on your Myspace page.
Why the two get mixed up
Myspace capped photo uploads, so many people hosted extra photos on Photobucket instead. The two looked connected, but they were always separate accounts.
This also means that photos you uploaded straight to Myspace's own photo tool were never in Photobucket. Only the images you specifically added to Photobucket would be there.
What you'll need to check
- An email address you likely used in the mid-to-late 2000s
- Or a username you remember creating specifically for Photobucket
Check for an account
Use self-service account recovery to check for an account:
If you still have access to the email address linked to that old account, a password reset will be faster than account recovery.
If no account is found
This means you most likely never had a Photobucket account. There's nothing to recover, and no further steps are needed.
If you had a Myspace account, you can also visit the Myspace Help Center for support.
