Screenshots are a great way to communicate what's happening on your device.

Sometimes, you need to send a screenshot of your full screen; sometimes, it's just a certain section.
Important: When creating screenshots, do not screenshot personal information that may identify you.
Windows 11
Full browser screenshot
When creating a screenshot for the full browser, please be sure to include the URL and active browser plugins or applications.
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard
- Type Snipping tool and select it from the results
- On the tool pop-up, click Mode
- Select Window
- Select which window to screenshot
- A window of your screenshot will pop-up
- Click File
- Click Save As
- Name the file then click Save
Partial Screenshot
If you need to share a specific section, use partial screenshots. Be sure to leave out any personal information that may identify you.
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard
- Type Snipping tool and select it from the results
- On the tool pop-up, click Mode
- Select Rectangle
- Hold left click and drag the box to fit the area you want to screenshot
- A window of your screenshot will pop-up
- Click File
- Click Save As
- Name the file then click Save

- Select which window to screenshot
- A window of your screenshot will pop-up
- Click File
- Click Save As

- Press the Windows key on your keyboard
- Type Snipping tool and select it from the results
- On the tool pop-up, click Mode
- Select Rectangular Snip
- Hold left click and drag the box to fit the area you want to screenshot
- A window of your screenshot will pop-up
- Click File
- Click Save As
- Name the file then click Save
If you don't have the Snipping tool,
- Press Winkey, Shift, and S at the same time.
- Then click and hold the mouse button while dragging the crosshair.
The screenshot will be copied to your clipboard. You may get a Windows notification of the created screenshot. Click that notification to edit and save the screenshot.

- Press and release Shift, Command, and 4 on your keyboard.
- Then press and release the Space bar. Your pointer will change to a camera icon.
- Click the browser to screenshot it
Partial screenshot
If you need to share a specific section, use partial screenshots. Be sure to leave out any personal information that may identify you.
- Press Shift, Command, and 4 on your keyboard. Your pointer will change to a crosshair.
- To select the area you want to screenshot, click and hold the mouse button while dragging the crosshair
iPhone & Android

If you need to share a specific section, use partial screenshots. Be sure to leave out any personal information that may identify you. On your mobile device, you can crop out a specific area to share to help protect your information.
iPhone
- Press and release the side button and volume up button at the same time
- A thumbnail of the screenshot will appear on the corner of your screen
- Tap the thumbnail to open it
- Select save the screenshot to Photos
Android
- Press the power and volume down button at the same time
- A preview of your screenshot will appear on your screen
- Open your phone's Photos or Gallery app to find your screenshot
