Troubleshooting Tips
Why am I getting an error message when I try to connect my WhatsApp account?
Two common causes could cause you to receive an error:
-
Phone number mismatch: Make sure the phone number you entered in Step 1 of the setup process matches the one tied to your WhatsApp account.
- Expired QR / verification code: The setup QR code refreshes every 30 seconds, and the mobile code refreshes every 3 minutes. Allow your device enough time to link and wait for a new QR or verification code. Use the most recent code.
Why am I getting notifications from WhatsApp stating that syncing has stopped?
Interruptions occur when WhatsApp disconnects linked devices due to inactivity.
Linked sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity and will be disconnected if the device running WhatsApp remains offline for more than 14 days.
Interruptions can also happen if
- Your phone lost its connection to the internet
- The browser session or device running the link was closed
- Your phone’s battery-saving settings are set to pause the background activity
Re-establishing the connection
- Open WhatsApp on your phone
- Go to Settings > Linked Devices, and check the status
- Either reconnect or remove & re-link the Photobucket connection by setting up your integration again from the Photobucket WhatsApp integration page
