Every Group has one Owner. Everyone else is assigned a role that sets their permissions. Below you'll find what each role can do, plus how leaving, deleting, or transferring ownership works.
Permissions at a glance
| Permissions | Owner & Admins | Contributors |
Viewers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Images | Upload, download, edit, move, delete, comment, and react to any image | Same, but you can only delete images you uploaded yourself | View, download, comment, and react only |
| Albums | Create, move, and delete | Create, move, and delete | None |
| Members & Invites | Deactivate members, change roles, and manage invites | None | None |
Only the Owner can change the Group's name, delete the Group, or transfer ownership. Admins share every other permission with the Owner.
Deleting a Group
Only the Owner can delete a Group. Once it's deleted, everything in it (photos, videos, comments), including content uploaded by other members, is gone too. This can't be undone, so we recommend giving everyone a chance to download what they want before a Group is deleted.
Leaving a Group
Leaving a Group removes your access, not your content. Anything you uploaded stays in the Group, along with any comments or reactions you left on other photos.
Transferring ownership
The Group owner can transfer ownership of the Group to any existing member. Once transferred, the new Owner gains full Group permissions, including the ability to delete the Group or change its name. The previous Owner's access reverts to whatever role they're assigned afterward.
Creating a Group is open to everyone. Free accounts can create up to 3 Groups, each capped at 50 images. Paid accounts have no group limit.

If you just want to share your photos, you can create sharing links to share them with people who are not members of your group.
